{"title":"Patrice Besombes","metaTitle":"Patrice Besombes – Compagnie DCA","text":"<p>Patrice Besombes began to work at theatre with André Cellier and Didier Gabilly, and discovered dance in the 1980s, as technical director in the new Maison de la Danse in Lyon, France. He worked on tour of Jean-Claude Gallota then Carolyn Carlson. He designed lighting for the shows of Catherine Diverrès, Dominique Boivin, Pascale Houbin, Kitsou Dubois and Benjamin Millepied. He then worked again at theatre with Christophe Huysman, Didier Long, and widened his horizons to opera, working in<br />\nparticular with Gilbert Defloe. After having collaborated on the International Dance Festival of Montpellier and on the Vienne Jazz Festival, he joined the DCA Company in 1993. First as assistant stage manager on <em>Petites Pièces Montées</em> and <em>Decodex,</em> he then designed lighting for <em>Denise, the 50th Cannes International Film Festival Ceremony, Marguerite, Shazam!, Triton, Iris and IIris, Solo, L’autre défilé</em> organised at La Villette, <em>Sombreros</em> and <em>Octopus</em>. He also created lights for the exhibition project Opticon of DCA Company and the Cirque du Soleil show, <em>Iris,</em> directed by Philippe Decouflé.
