La Chaufferie welcomes Compagnie 41.20 and Nancy Naous's latest creation, , Coquelicots ou Shall We Dance? a choreographic piece written for two female dancers and one actress-singer.

It questions the physical endurance of the female body, its resistance and persistence, and the pleasure / anxiety of moving non-stop. COQUELICOTS ou shall we dance? has its origins in interviews the choreographer conducted from 2018 to 2020 with mothers and wives of people who disappeared during the Lebanese civil war (1975-1990). These women's bodies were at the heart of her encounters: What goes through their bodies every day? How do they move? How do waiting, the passage of time, impossible mourning and absence resonate in their bodies? What is their inner rhythm? How is it reflected in their daily lives? How does it project outwards?

What do you want me to do? I'm moving!” said a mother whose son had been missing for thirty-four years.

She moves. She dances. They move. They dance.
Their moving bodies are the vector of their inner strength, the means by which they transcend absence, waiting and time.
