Jean Malo
Jean started off his career in Nantes for cabaret and theatre. As a loyal colleague of Philippe Guillotel, he assisted him in costume designing for Josette Baiz’s show Oliver Twist, and for a lot of Philippe Decouflé’s creations, Abracadabra, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the XVth Olympic Games in Albertville, the 50th Cannes International Film Festival Ceremony, Decodex... He designed costume of Triton 2ter, Cyrk 13, Solo, Sombreros, Coeurs Croisés, Octopus and Nouvelles Pièces Courtes, as well as for Christophe Salengro’s shows Repassage, Dîners Impériaux and for Claudine Merkel (Parade 2010 in Picasso Museum of Münster). He also conceived shoulder straps for James Thierrée, François Choigueaux and Cécile Bengola (on her show Castor et Pollux). Jean-Malo worked with the company Moral Soul/Herwann Asseh for the creation of the piece Manibus and designed costumes for the closing-night of the festival "Temps Fêtes 2016" (Douarnenez, France). More recently, he collaborated with Compagnie DCA on the costumes for Stereo.
