Muriel Corbel
After making her debut as a gymnast at a very early age, Muriel Corbel turned to dance and studied at the Paris International Dance Centre, then at the CNDC in Angers.
She danced for Odile Duboc in Insurrection and for Georges Appaix in Affabulation (Fabrication) and F.
She became a member of the DCA Philippe Decouflé company in 1989, and performed in shows such as Novembre (November), Triton, the Albertville Olympic Games ceremony, the 50th anniversary ceremony of the Cannes Film Festival, Marguerite, Abracadabra, Shazam!, Iris and IIris.
She was Philippe Decouflé’s assistant choreographer for Decodex (1995) and Tricodex, created for the Lyon Opera Ballet in March 2004. In 2001, she obtained her State Contemporary Dance Teacher diploma.
She has worked with Georges Appaix, Odile Duboc, Philippe Decouflé, Herman Diephuis, Jean-Paul Salomé, Marina Wainer and Olivier Simola, Mie Coquempot, Jérôme Bel, Julien Monty, among others.
In 2006, she retreated to Corrèze, where she is currently involved in working with dance amateurs.
