Sébastien Libolt

After studying graphic art, Sébastien Libolt became a set designer, assistant stage manager, stage hand, props man and projectionist, performing in the street and then on stage with his band “Les VRP”. In 1995, he formed his own group, “La Trabant”, and composed and performed live music for a show by Philippe Decouflé. This marked the start of a regular collaboration with Compagnie DCA: Denise, Decodex, Micheline, Marguerite, the fiftieth anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival and Shazam! ... as well as Tricodex for the Opéra de Lyon ballet and Sombrero (music by Brian Eno), followed by Tout doit disparaitre and the re-creation of Shazam! version 2.0.2.1.

He collaborates with other dance, theater and circus companies, and also works as director/arranger for Gaëlle-Sara Branthomme, Bertrand Belin, le Quartet Buccal, Françoise Le Golvan...

Sébastien is currently devoting himself to his own sound creations, research based around a prepared piano, texts, cello and machine... His project is currently being developed in Brittany, where he lives.
